Detroit, Mich. — The POH Riley Foundation was selected as one of the non-profit organizations of choice during the 2008 Molina Healthcare of Michigan Community Champions Awards Dinner. The event was held at the Roostertail Entertainment Complex in Detroit. Teresa A. Rodges, POH Riley Foundation Executive Director, accepted a $1,000 gift from Jamillah A. Muhammad, who nominated the foundation. Muhammad said she selected the POH Riley Foundation because it “helps provide free health care services through POH Regional Medical Center to women and children who otherwise would not be able to afford healthcare.”
The foundation was also recently awarded two grants for its Free Mammogram Program in the amounts of $25,000 and $3,500; and an additional grant in the amount of $3,000 to fund POH Children’s Health Services.
